Fall session starts Aug. 30!!

Hi Parents!

Attached is our Fall 2010-Spring 2011 Schedule. You will find that there are a few new names and classes on the schedule this year.

Ms. Elizabeth Sterling comes to us from Illinois, where she studied ballet on full scholarship at numerous academies. She has danced with Joffrey Ballet in their production of Giselle, and Madison Ballet in The Nutcracker and Peter Pan, just to name a couple. Ms. Elizabeth will be teaching our ballet classes, some combo classes and a new class on our schedule, pre-pointe. We will be offering pre-pointe this summer on Tuesdays from 8:30-9:15, and in the fall on Fridays from 5:30-6:30. Ms. Elizabeth asks that no one buy shoes before they attend their first class, as placement in the class is at her discretion. The minimum age for this class is 10 years old. Anyone registered for pre-pointe must also be registered in AT LEAST one hour of ballet at Dance eMotions.

Ms. Sunny Nelson will be teaching Zumba at Dance eMotions starting this summer as well. From the zumba website: “The Zumba® program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Our goal is simple: We want you to want to work out, to love working out, to get hooked. Zumba® Fanatics achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exciting hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!” Sunny will accept registrations and payments for her classes via paypal through her website, or at the front desk at the time of the class. Come check out a sneak-peek this weekend, April 10^th from 5-6:00. $10. You can also check out her website, www.zumbawithsunny.com. (Sunny also happens to be my college roommate, back in our SWT days!)

We are also offering “Kick Tech” taught by Ms. Bess. As most of you know, Ms. Bess was a Kilgore College Rangerette, a team famous for their high kicks. Ms. Bess will teach this class to girls interested in trying out for their school’s dance teams.

“Leaps and Turns” is just that: a class that will specifically work on dance “tricks”. Anyone registered for Leaps and Turns must be registered in AT LEAST one hour of ballet at Dance eMotions.

Registration for fall/spring will begin immediately. The registration fee is $35 per student, $45 per family. If you intend on auditioning for a team, register after the results are announced. Remember, if you are registered for a summer class, you receive a $20 discount on your fall registration.
